Hunting themed senior shoot. Mason was my first senior boy shoot in forever! I don’t shoot a lot of seniors and definitely don’t shoot many boys. I did Mason’s girlfriend’s senior photos a few weeks ago(Click here to see Falyn’s senior session) and I’ve worked with her family for a few years now. Mason’s mom called to see if I could fit them in on short notice and I was excited to get to finally shoot a guy senior. Of course, needing a session last minute only means one thing. The weather will most likely not cooperate. After rescheduling a few times because of rain we were finally able to shoot. The sky looked like it was going to fall out the whole time we were shooting but it held off and storm clouds ended up giving us the best lighting. I loved the moody look of this shoot. Mason brought along his hunting dog. Although Mason was a natural in front of the camera, Sage…not so much. Sage was a little excited about being by the creek and in the woods and was just short of a hot mess but at least he was photogenic. haha If you can’t tell by the photos, Mason is a big hunter. He brought along his bow for a few photos but I’m not sure if he anticipated me making him hold a pose with the bow pulled back for long periods of time. He was a trooper though! Here are a few of my favorites from Mason’s session last week. One word, DIMPLES. How cute is he?
